Estuardo was on the new today. Channel 13 news came to therapy and interviewed Estuardo ! They took video of him and it aired today Nov. 26 about 5:40pm.

mas dias de terapia

bendiciones de nuestro amoroso señor Jesucristo a todos, he terminado otra semana y he empezado una semana mas, es totalmente asombroso porque la semana pasada canime 60 pies y esta semana hasta el día de hoy he caminado 75 pies, cada semana Dios esta haciendo grandes maravillas en mi vida porque cada día estoy avanzando bastante Dios ha estado siempre con migo el me ha ayudado siempre y es por ello que ahora estoy haciendo lo que hago, gracias a Dios he avanzado bastante con todos mis ejercicios uso diferentes maquinas algo como una bicicleta que uso con mis manos empecé con un numero 3 de fuerza y ahora actualmente lo hago con el numero 5 de fuerza, también otra maquina que estoy usando para fortalecer mis músculos empecé empujando 35 libras y ahora estoy empujando 75 libras, es un gran trabajo pero todo lo puedo en cristo que me fortalece también fui a ves a algunos jóvenes jugar basquetbol fue muy divertido y emocionante ellos juegan muy bien y muy rápido intente jugar pero ellos juegan muy rápido y yo nunca jugué en una silla a si que es muy difícil para mi, bueno como siempre gracias por todas sus oraciones y que dios los bendiga.

blessings of our loving Lord Jesus Christ to all , I finished another week and another week I started , it's totally amazing because last week Canime 60 feet and this week until today I walked 75 feet , each week God is doing great wonders in my life because every day I'm progressing quite God has always been with me the always helped me and that's why now I'm doing what I do , thank God I have come a long way with all my exercises different machines use something like a bicycle I started using my hands with a number 3 strength today and now I do it with the number 5 in force , also another machine I'm using to strengthen my muscles started pushing 35 pounds and now I'm pushing 75 pounds , is a big job but all I can through christ who strengthens me also went to see some young people playing basketball was fun and exciting they play very well and very fast try to play but they play very fast and I never played in a chair if it is very difficult for me , good as always thanks for all your prayers and god bless .

mas dias de terapia

hola a todos nuevamente ayer termine otra semana de mi terapia yo mismo estoy sorprendido de las maravillas que Dios ha estado haciendo con migo he avansado vastante en mis ejercicios ahora estoy
intentando caminar mas pero es muy dificil necesito muchas fuerzas en mis brazos poque si no tengo fuerzas es demasiado el trabajo que necesito hacer, pero ahora estoy haciendo ejercicios para tener mas fuerzas en mis brazos, es bastante dificil pero con la ayuda de Dios se que lo lograre y mil gracias por las oraciones que son las que dan fuerzas para seguir y conseguir lo que deceo en esta vida poder caminar con ayuda, estoy orando mucho para que Dios me de muchas fuerzas para seguir adelante y no desmayar porque aveses ciento que es muy dificil y el enemigo pone en mi mente que es imposible pero yo se que Dios me dice lo contrario que aunque el camino sea dificil el me lo hace bastante facil y todas las cosas que el me a dado los grandes Milagros desde el dia que sucedio el accidente asta ahora el siempre a estado con migo y yo se que lo seguira aciendo por el resto de mi vida ahora tengo dos dias de descanso sabado y domingo, y lugo regresare a mis terapias con mas trabajo para poder lograrlo, que Dios los bendiga a todos y gracias por todas sus oraciones, Amen.

hello all again yesterday finished another week of my therapy I myself am amazed of the wonders that God has been doing with me I have yet advanced in my exercises now I'm trying to walk more but it is very difficult to need much strength in my arms poker if I have not forces is too much work I need to do, but now I'm doing exercises to get more strength in my arms , it is quite difficult but with the help of God I will achieve and many thanks for the prayers that are what give strength to continue and get what deceo in this life to walk with help, I'm praying a lot for God to give me strength to keep going and not faint because aveses percent which is very difficult and the enemy puts in my mind that it is impossible but I know God otherwise tells me that although the road is hard on me quite easy and all the things that has given me the great miracles from the day that the accident happened till now always been with me and I know it will continue aciendo for the rest of my life now I have two days off Saturday and Sunday, and luggage will go back to my therapies with more work to do , may God bless you all and thank you for all your prayers , Amen .

The story on how Estuardo got to the USA:
In 2010 we served and lived in Guatemala with Estuardo and his family. During the construction of the orphanage, we had many different team members come down to Guatemala to help with the building of the orphanage. One team member and his wife, came down on their 10 year anniversary and it was Trey and Jodi Kubizna. Trey is a physical therapist. He asked some questions about Estuardo and he started to spend some time each day working with Estuardo and seeing what mobility he had. By the end of the week, Estuardo took a few steps with the help of Trey, some homemade braces and Parallel bars. It was a very emotional time for Noemi, I (Gwen) had the privilege to watch too! Trey made the comment, he has potential to walk if we can get him to the states.
A Miracle!!
About a year later, and we are back in the USA my heart is breaking for Estuardo. I tell Aaron what is on my heart and we start praying for God to reveal to us what to do. That week, my dad said to us, " what can we do to help out Estuardo." Confirmation!
Erin Van Oordt was back in the states and we met with her and told her what was on our heart. We asked her to talk to Estuardo in Guatemala and ask him if he would have any interest in coming to the states for therapy .
We did not want this to be something we desired, but to follow Gods prompting on our hearts and see what Gods plan is.
We continued to pray and we received word from Erin that he cried when she talked to him. He was so excited at the thought of getting therapy !
After 1.5 years of filling out paperwork , meetings with Trey, finding the right therapist, and Estuardo getting his passport and medical visa it's a go!
A Miracle!
To get a passport and to receive a visa in Guatemala is not a easy road. Estuardo worked hard and received all the essential paperwork to travel to the USA. Estuardo has such a determination and drive !
A Miracle!
In the time while we waited for everything to get done we prayed for what only God can do. To allow our friend to be able to walk again! We also prayed for his body and for God to do great things! Praying for Miracles!
Estuardo came to Michigan on Oct.21 and is staying for 6 weeks to receive therapy.
He is staying with us and we are so blessed to have him. My kids love him and Whitney just loves to hear him pray. We have no medical knowledge, our Spanish is not great, we are just clueless on many things but will follow God and know he will equip those he calls.
Miracles at therapy:
-The first week of therapy he could not sit well without help, by the end of the week he was hitting a balloon with both hands sitting by himself .
- He has movement in his hips! The therapist are amazed!
- He has not lost any muscle (atrophy) after being in a wheelchair for 5 years, unheard of.
- He learned how to crawl!
- learned how to get out of a chair properly
- started walking with leg braces and parallel bars! His dream and goal!
Please pray with us for his ability to walk ! Our God is greater! Please pray for more miracles !!

La historia de cómo Estuardo llegó a los EE.UU.:
En 2010 atendimos y vivió en Guatemala con Estuardo y su familia . Durante la construcción del orfanato , tuvimos muchos miembros del equipo diferentes vienen a Guatemala para ayudar con la construcción de un orfanato . Un miembro del equipo y su esposa vinieron abajo en su 10 aniversario y fue Trey y Jodi Kubizna . Trey es un fisioterapeuta. Él hizo algunas preguntas sobre Estuardo y él comenzó a pasar algún tiempo cada día a trabajar con Estuardo y ver lo que la movilidad que tenía. Al final de la semana, Estuardo dio unos pasos con la ayuda de Trey , algunas llaves caseras y las barras paralelas . Fue un momento muy emotivo para Noemi , I ( Gwen ) tuve el privilegio de ver también! Trey hizo el comentario , tiene potencial para caminar si podemos llegar a los estados.
Un milagro !
Alrededor de un año más tarde, y estamos de vuelta en los EE.UU. mi corazón se está rompiendo por Estuardo . Le digo Aaron lo que está en mi corazón y empezamos orando para que Dios nos revele qué hacer. Esa semana , mi padre nos dijo: "¿Qué podemos hacer para ayudar Estuardo . " Confirmación !
Erin Van Oordt estaba de vuelta en los Estados Unidos y se reunió con ella y le contó lo que había en nuestro corazón. Le pedimos que hable con Estuardo en Guatemala y preguntarle si iba a tener ningún interés en llegar a los estados para la terapia.
No queríamos que esto es algo que deseábamos , pero a seguir dioses que provocó en nuestros corazones y ver lo que es el plan de Dios .
Seguimos orando y recibimos noticias de Erin que lloró cuando habló con él. Estaba tan entusiasmado con la idea de conseguir la terapia !
Después de 1,5 años de llenar el papeleo , reuniones con Trey , encontrar un buen terapeuta , y Estuardo obtener su pasaporte y visa médica es un ir!
Un milagro !
Para obtener un pasaporte y recibir una visa en Guatemala no es un camino fácil. Estuardo trabajó duro y recibió todos los documentos esenciales para viajar a los EE.UU. . Estuardo tiene tal determinación y la unidad !

En el tiempo mientras esperábamos a que todo lo que hacer oramos por lo que sólo Dios puede hacer. Para permitir que nuestro amigo pueda volver a caminar ! También oramos para su cuerpo y para que Dios haga grandes cosas ! Orar por los milagros !
Estuardo llegó a Michigan en Oct.21 y se queda durante 6 semanas para recibir tratamiento.
Él se queda con nosotros y estamos muy bendecidos de tenerlo. Mis hijos lo aman y Whitney le encanta oírle rezar. No tenemos conocimiento médico , nuestro Español no es muy grande , somos simplemente ni idea de muchas cosas, pero vamos a seguir a Dios y saber que equipará a los que llama .
Milagros de la terapia :
- La primera semana de la terapia que no podía sentarse bien sin ayuda, a finales de la semana que estaba golpeando un balón con las dos manos sentado solo .
- Él tiene movimiento en las caderas ! El terapeuta se sorprenden !
- No ha perdido ningún muscular (atrofia ) después de estar en una silla de ruedas desde hace 5 años , algo inaudito.
- Aprendió a gatear !
- Aprender cómo salir de una silla adecuada
- Comenzó a caminar con aparatos ortopédicos y barras paralelas ! Su sueño y el objetivo !
Por favor, oren con nosotros por su habilidad para caminar! Nuestro Dios es más grande ! Por favor oren por más milagros !

mis primeros pasos

hola a todos este día es un día inolvidable para mi por primera vez di mis pasos estoy tan emocionado y feliz de poder dar algunos pasos con ayuda de mis aparatos en las piernas yo mismo no puedo creer que pude dar algunos pasos con ayuda pero las personas que me están ayudando en mi terapia dicen que casi lo hice solo, pero es bastante difícil hacerlo cuando ya tienes algunos años de no caminar es increíble para mi todas las cosas que Dios hace en nuestras vidas y yo estoy experimentando la grandeza de nuestro señor para permitirme nuevamente la oportunidad de volver a caminar, gracias por todas las oraciones porque es lo que me impulsa a seguir adelante asta alcanzar la meta de caminar seguiré luchando y esforzándome en cada terapia porque yo se que Dios esta conmigo en cada instante cuando mas lo necesito y hace que me sienta seguro en sus manos y gracias por todas sus oraciones.

hello everyone this day is a memorable day for me I took my first steps I'm so excited and happy to take a few steps with the help of my leg braces I can not believe that I could take some steps with help but people who are helping me in my therapy I did it almost alone, but it's pretty hard to do when you already have some years of not walking is amazing to me all the things that God does in our lives and I am experiencing the greatness of our Lord! to again allowing me the opportunity to walk again, thanks for all the prayers because it is what drives me to keep going till the goal of walking keep fighting and striving in each therapy because I know God is with me every moment when they most need and makes me feel safe in his hands and thank you for all your prayers.
